Cereal City Guides Launch
I’ve been following the cereal publication for many years now, its one of the sources that inspired me to move to Bath. I follow the creators on Instagram who live in the city and there constant uploads beautiful photography of Bath and its architecture made me want to come to Uni here.
Cereal is a travel and lifestyle magazine featuring articles and advertisement across design, art, architecture and travel. The curation of the publication is superb from its layout to paper stock Although I prefer there earlier minimalist A4 design, they have now changed to a slightly smaller size with a grey cover and different stock almost hardback cover. They have recently released a trio of city guides of Paris, London and New York.
I managed to grab a copy of the Paris Edition just before heading to Paris photo In November.
Although most of its content is way out of my price range to be guided by, the physicality of the book is stunning and I managed to visit a few coffee shops that were featured in it.
Rich Stapleton and Rosa Park are the couple behind Cereal. They founded the magazine in 2012, and now the couple spend half the year scouting and shooting locations, and the rest in their serene flat on Great Pulteney Street in Bath. This December, Rosa announced a launch event of the new cereal city guides. She invited her 106k followers to attend the event. Lucky I live here so was able to easily attend the launch which was hosted by Aesop Skincare who recently opened a new branch in Bath The location was very on brand with the magazines aesthetic (as seen in images below) the venue offered up a selection of bread, wine and cheese and on our exit we received a free Aesop giftbag. I even got to have a brief chat to Rosa whilst I was there.
